Not, exactly true ! I have been making up these hoses without the restrictor as the company doing them can no longer get the restrictors and the old ones cannot be reused. We have seen no problems using these hoses without the restrictors when the metal lines have been changed to hose. There may be a problem when no restrictor is in place when still using the OEM metal lines. We are not quite sure of this at this time.
