Subject: I lost my cool!!
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

The AC in my red 88 GL slowly was losing it's cool, so I decided to service he system myself. Bought an AC Pro service kit from my local Advance Auto, took it home, and did the thing - except it didn't. No matter what I did, I could not get the filler fitting to stay on the low side shrader fitting. It kept popping off, like it didn't fit right or something. It was a puh to lock ty pe and simply would not sstay put!

I took the kit back to Advance, explained the problems, and the Sales rep grabbed another and brought it along. Same problem. He then called for backup. He got a very large man to come out and hold that valve in place. Emptied two 20 ounce cans into it. Since their product didn't fit probperly, and it seemed all of that brand were the same way - and I had to make a long trip back to the store, they simply donated the seconde can - and THEY installed it. Now I have cool air.

As frustrating as it was - I have to give kudos to Advance Auto Parts for thier exemplary customer service.
