  I don't think you'll have lasting success using the available
sticky-backed Velcro.   For attaching or closing stuff that is regularly
released multiple times...the adhesives are just not up to the task.  There
may be some commercial-grade velro tape with stronger adhesives now, but
the normal retail tape just comes off with use.  Sewing it in place
actually works...

   You might try magnets.   I mount my curtains with magnets sewn into the
hems all around.  You can find them online in various sizes..  I have like
!/2" wide X 3/4" long X 1/8" thick ones in my curtain and screen hems and a
bunch more that I leave stuck around inside where I use them most.   Makes
a good way to stick thing up.
