"Workshop is in a real sorry state." http://shufti.files.wordpress.com/2012/07/img_0986.jpg Nah. Looks perfectly cromulent to me. ;^) In your image: http://shufti.files.wordpress.com/2012/07/img_0991.jpg is that guide needed because the bushing only has 1 OD or is the pop can piece simply a "safety" ? Bushings removed from my 2WD '81: https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-UUFxlT0h4sE/T5BONPu_GRI/AAAAAAAAFkg/cDHFa64uQro/s720/UCAB%2520Compare%25202.jpg Bushing in LH of image shows two different OD's. (Yes that's a practice tack weld) `The new bushings I installed (2WD) have these "steps". Since Syncro UCA has a larger surface area between bushing and arm, maybe stepped OD won't do? PO's work on my '81 This bushing looks like a replacement. Note the dents. image: https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-W0KhjqAl068/TaSR0Nm-h9I/AAAAAAAAEko/C-N63DDPqUM/s640/UppeCAmeyleDriver.jpg Looks like they put a pipe against it and bashed it in. I don't think that's "OEM". Good on you for taking such nice pics showing how you pressed in the bushings.
