I'm fond of step blocks but I think they're overkill and you'd have trouble finding ones small enough (of course you could make some, given a file and patience). Not familiar with doll house levelers. But I think y'all are working too hard. A nice birch (or whatever) spring clothespin gives you two of the right size shims practically ready-made. The amount of effort that's gone into this thread, could have had ten sets made already. ;-)
