The workshop is a disaster area - I really need to tidy up before I kill myself in there.

The pop can sleeve was used to keep the large socket aligned as I wrestled the assembled in the vise. Need 3 hands when you press in horizontally.

The bushings I used are similar to the right hand one shown in your pic - ie no minor step on smaller diameter area. The UCA bushings are the supposedly same for 2wd as 4wd. Yup, the larger bearing surface area in the syncro (cast) UCA means press fit is enough.
