Y'all can beetch about California smog laws, but just drive for half a
block behind some late '60s muscle car with original 327 or whatnot in
it. You then appreciate the laws that have cleaned up this fine state.


Some of the rules are a bit overboard, but generally speaking, keep
'em running up to snuff and you'll pass. Let the systems degrade and
you won't. Of course, I wouldn't want to have an early '80s air cooled
with that dambdable square egr valve in the exhaust system. They were
impossible to find 10 years ago.
