|I usually level the van using them plastic ramps from RV
|stores, but it's an inexact art and the grill on the stovetop
|is seldom completely level. To those of you that view the
|stove as a device for just heating chili, this is not an issue.

|But when one is looking to make a nice thin omlette--as one
|frequently does when primitive camping--or, for you more
|rustic types, rustle up a mess-a griddlecakes--then a level
|cooking surface really helps a lot.
|
|If the grill were to have some means of adjusting on two axis
|by a few degrees then leveling it using a skillet with a
|little water in it or a bubble level. Just the thing for the
|Backcountry Gourmet.
