Mine has what you describe for the negative side, and then a triple spade terminal with individual connectors for the + side. but the terminal connectors are attached to the coil on studs! That's what I was referring to, should have been more clear. On my coil, the + side stud turned out to have an 8mm nut. I didn't measure the stud itself, but the ring terminal I had lying around worked fine. (I realize that using spade terminal adapters might have been a cleaner solution... at least I didn't use a wire tap!)
