It probably is if you are just doing the canvas and can handle the
contortions.  It's not hard to remove, you just need three reasonably strong
people to get it off and on.

We used that video as a guide and installed a Hemp canvas from GoWesty.
Total time was about 6 hours, over two days.  Super happy with the result.



Taking the top off seemed like it would have been much more work.



Only downside on our job is a few screws were broken, but fortunately not
badly enough to make it loose.  Not clear if it was us or the previous 30
years that did it.
