To get the torque you are going to have to do the math. 1lb @ 12"" is 1 ft lb, that 1lb at 6ft is 6ftlb. I'd find out what you weigh and how long a bar you need to give you the torque you are shooting for. Then I'd take it UP to the next place the cotter pin will fit.

Of course you could always cut the nut or use a chisel & 5 lb hammer and have at it...
