Lift the seat as far as you can, push the latch back with a hefty screwdriver inserted between the seat and kick panel. Alternatively, you might be able to reach under the seat from behind to pull back the latch (vice grips?). A second pair of hands may be helpful either way. Then, of course, remember to fix the release mechanism BEFORE you put the seat back down. Not that I'd know this from experience or anything, mind you. -Jarrett On Aug 7, 2012, at 9:54 AM, Loren Busch wrote: > RESPOND DIRECTLY TO THE ORIGINAL SENDER ON THIS, PLEASE!!! > > ---------- Forwarded message ---------- > From: nfawthrop <nfawthrop@yahoo.com> > Date: Tue, Aug 7, 2012 at 7:51 AM > Subject: [WetWesties] 2nd try - stuck back seat so cannot lift & convert to > bed > To: wetwesties@yahoogroups.com > > > Looking for tips on how to unjam the release for the backseat of westie. > When I pull the knob, the left hinge is not releasing so I'm unable to lift > seat and convert to bed. > > Any tips appreciated - trip about to happen. > Thanks, > NF |
