I have a a clogged catalytic converter do the same on several other  cars.
When cruising down the highway usually on a bridge or in a tunnel  the car
would just die.  After a brief cool down it would drive  normal.

I  experienced mystery engine cutouts one-or was it two?-summers ago, never
found  the problem. I am embarking on a similar trip on Wed a.m. and would
like to  see if carrying spare coil or hall sender might help isolate
problem. Are  these things available from a generic  FLAPS?
