I assume the measurement is made while running on gas. While lighting it, while it is lit, and when it goes out?

I can get to the black wire in the cabinet to the right of the fridge. Would I disconnect the black wire from the connector leading to the harness, and then measure between the end of the black wire that leads to the fridge and ground?

Excuse me for stating what is probably obvious, but I don't know precisely what to do. I've got the voltmeter and know how to use it, but not how to measure this.

Thanks!
