Dear All: I'm replacing the ignition coil on my 2.1L. Like an idiot, I detached the wires attached to the old coil without looking at them first to see what was connected where. Now, I've got an extra wire. There's a big plastic female spade connector block (green wire) that was attached to two of the negative terminals. There's a non-factory-looking female spade connector (two different black wires spliced together) that was attached to one of the positive terminals. And there's a factory male spade connector (white wire) that was attached to ... where? I'm reasonably sure it was connected to one of the positive terminals (as shown in Bentley 28.39), but it's a male spade connector and doesn't exactly fit on the new coil. Annotated photo here: What am I missing? Any guidance appreciated. Best, d. |
