It takes up about 1/4 of that real estate while traveling. The volks I know who have them also have awnings, and put the unit outside while camped, and on a small platform of some kind (I got a "pack" of rosewood interlocking platform pieces for my solar shower that would work well for this). Almost all these units come with extension cords and some sort of floor fastening hardware. I haven't seen any of them traveling with their children, but a couple do have kids they camp with. In a way, the more volks on a given trip, the more fridge space needed to support them. What I've noticed, and they tell me is true, it becomes a piece of furniture that they use for meal prep, temp storage space while camped, if they have it inside. bob |
