Bonnie replaced the broken zipper on the screen with hook and loop tape while we were in Spokane visiting our daughter and family. She used a wide tape (about 2" wide), sewed on. Works very well, but needs some tweaking to be better. I'll add a couple of snaps to the top at the tape to hold the screen together there better.

I believe the zipper on the screen should have lasted longer than 3 years, especially considering that we camped little last year during Bonnie's illness.
