Just spent a little time exploring in the NE US and parts of Quebec, including a visit with Dake. Stop by there if you are near Liberty.

Pins to put on a map: micro brewery and campground: http://www.northernoutdoors.com/site/resort/the-forks-resort-center/kennebec-river-brewery.html The largest fjord this side of the pond: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saguenay_Fjord_National_Park A lovely little spot in Vermont: http://www.vtstateparks.com/htm/ricker.htm (are you friends with Guy Kennedy? He's a fellow westy owner who lives in that part of Vermont).

You've already gotten suggestions for PEI, the Cabot Trail, and other great options so I won't repeat them (but I'll second all the suggestions). You could probably spend all your time on "The Rock" and still want more.

Are you bringing a bike or boat? For example, the Kingdom Trails in NE Vermont are some of the best mountain bike trails around (http://www.kingdomtrails.com/)
