Subject: Poor gas Mileage
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1

My 84 Westy w/ original 1.9 gas engine w/ 155K on it has been getting poor gas mileage on it since I got to Maine from Utah. I have had it twice into a local Larry Chase approved VW Repair place & had it tuned up per their suggestions, new plug wires, plugs, rotor, cap, fuel filter, etc. but I am still getting 11-12 mpg where I used to get 16-18. It seems to run fine, but mpg is killing moi. After running for awhile, the rpms seem to surge 100 rpms up & down . Any suggestions?

YMMV,

Mr. BZ-mine do
