I've put an 86ish middle seat and tracks into my '82 diesel Westy. The longer rear track went in no problem, but the shorter front track was missing a welded nut for the middle hole, and the two end bolts by the sliding door appear to be WELDED? on to support the propane tank. This means the front track has just the inside two bolts connected, and is propped up on top of the two outer welded propane bolts. I'm considering taking a hole-saw to the track so it fits flush around the propane bolts, and then just adding a nut and bolt to hold that end down. It all works fine, just doesn't sit flush, and isn't fully secure (but still pretty solid). Is there something I'm missing here? How do others deal with the propane bolts? Will in Alaska. |
