I don't like the A pillar solution, the Vanagon A pillar is too narrow IMHO. On my '82 westy I had 3 VDO pilot series gauges in pods, with U shaped holders. Was not intrusive and displayed well. I'm in the process of installing them in my '86. I hope ot have pics in the next couple of weeks. alistair PS I share Loren's problem of not seeing most of speedo. And that is with no swivel seat on driver's side (I did install swivel base on pass. side). I guess my height (6-2) and long torso is the cause. Not seeing the dial bugs me a lot, especially because I am working with others on new gauge illumination package.
