But the usual reason for one of our fuel pumps to be audible over an idling engine (normally from driver's seat barely audible with engine off) is that the inlet is restricted in some way. On vans with a filter upstream of the pump, that's a good time to check/replace that filter. Crud on the filter sock inside the tank will give the same effect. Yours, David |
