how would you get under it to access for repairs, or even to fill the window washer bottle? if you want washable, the carpet is, but of course, may be badly worn. Mine isn't, actually looks pretty good, and I have 168k miles. I do have a rubber mat over it, but I have no idea what the previous two owners did. if you want rubber, mats are available.
