Thanks for those pics.

The new Brazilian tank I installed looks similar. So there's no filter in depression at tank bottom?

As per Dennis's post, I have to wonder if my high speed I-5 (70+ MPH) stall wasn't due to the same issue; higher engine demand, hot ambient temps, (and likely hotter than normal engine bay temps due my "ahem", design) all causing hotter than normal fuel getting pumped out the smaller ID tank outlet where cavitation may already have been occurring.

My pump noise may well have been happening when my air cooled engine was still installed. With a different somewhat quieter engine, the noise may have become more apparent.

Thanks for posting your experiences Jack. (and your reply Dennis) This may have shed some light on my mystery stall.
