Subject: Gauge Mounting Options
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Some earlier threads have me exploring gauges (wow, there are too many options for my feeble brain!). I'll pick away at my questions by doing some research before asking too many questions here (like why would I choose mechanical rather than electrical, which are more accurate, do existing senders need to be replaced, and on and on) and will start with a simple one.

A: Has anyone used the VDO A-pillar mounting pods in a Vanagon? They look like a nice way of putting 2-5 gauges in if they fit but the ones I see are meant for Beetle/Jetta/Golf/Passat. http://egauges.com/veh_mod.asp?VehMake=Volkswagen&CT=Cars Part B: where and how do people put them if not A. I imagine others are interested in the mounting options so I'll keep this thread in the list rather than follow up in pmail if that's ok with the mod men.
