"twist and pull."
Ah -- and thar I was, just pulling. I'm used to the smooth-bore type.
The only other engine I've ever worked on was the air cooled 1600
dual-port on my '71 bay window.
"be careful about cheap spark plug wires ..sometimes the ends will pull
apart rather than unplug from the dist cap."
Um, lemme see... "BOSCH ULTRA-PREMIUM ULTRA LAYER COPPER CORE" (I'm not
shouting, that's how they are labeled). Cheap or no?
"Twist and pull carefully, engine off."
Okay, lemme ax you a question.* Why engine off? I was thinking to unplug
plugs one at a time to find out why the engine was (apparently) missing.
Seemed like unplugging them with the engine on would be way to go so I
could hear the difference, if any.
If yer coming by next week, pls call, I'll stand you to a beer, glass of
wine, lemonade, whatever's your pleasure!
Phone in p-mail.
