an option Don? I think it is well know that there are kill switches/battery switches available. The point is do you have an option that fits in the battery compartment of a vanagon. Not a race car or a boat.

I've installed 2 cut off switches in vanagons now. One on a friend's car where I drilled through battery compartment at companionway side to allow a plastic key to be inserted to control switch. And the other, the simpler and easier one I just installed on the neg post of my own van. Both have merits, and both can be made to fit.

If you don't want one there is no need to put one in. Huzzahs if you are happy pulling off the battery lead when you want to disconnect battery. That's great.
