Im the opposite way. I hated the propane system and feel its too much to fail. I just put in a tf49 with 225ah of batteries and 90w of solar. I turned it on two weeks ago and have kept it running and icecream inside since. I move the car every few days anyway, so it gets fully charged. The solar helps but you'd want more panel than ive got. Mine is only what it is do to size restrictions of my sunroof bus. If j had a westy I'd put 200watts up there and just be done with it.

If i do choose to park in one place more than a week, I can just start the car and let it run for a while. Not that big a deal.

That's the biggest problem we had last year in Mexico with our WACO electric compressor fridge, NOT ENOUGH SUN to keep the batteries charged up. I know, hard to believe in Mexico, but it does occur. Propane, there's ALWAYS propane ! We can rent a 60 lb tank for peanuts and run off of that for months at a time and the propane truck comes by often enough to re-fill the tank if need be ! There are too many variables to rely on electric only. I'm about to replace my WACO compressor fridge for this fridge <http://www.lehmans.com/store/Appliances___Gas_Refrigerators_and_Freezers___Unique___Unique_Freezer_Refrigerator___1136755?Args=> > > > On 2012-08-26, at 3:38 AM, neil n <musomuso@gmail.com> wrote: > >> Thanks for that estimated street price Frank. >> >> If the RM 4181 M is the same as the Electrolux...... >> >> From the Dometic "Brochure" re: the RM 4181 M: >> >> "Cooling capacity: "refrigerator +7ºC at ambient temperatrues up to 32ºC.
