Welcome, glad you're enjoying it. I see Ben Tan, our other moderator, has already pointed you toward how you can set digest mode.

However I'd personally suggest that you'll find the list easier and more enjoyable to deal with if you do one of two things instead: either set up a filter in Outlook (I think Outlook may call it a rule) which diverts all mail coming from <vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com> into a separate mailbox that you can peruse at leisure; or get a gmail address that you use only for the list.

Learning to use Outlook's filters/rules should not be difficult and you will find them a powerful tool for organizing your email in general. I use a different mail program so I can't tell you step-by-step how to set up a filter; but I subscribe to something like thirty lists of various persuasions and not a single message from any of them shows up in my inbox. I actually have over 100 filters set up: for the groups, for various vendors, for family, for individuals. Some of them make a distinctive chime or some characters in Morse code when a message comes in, some don't. Some of them simply throw the message away. You may or may not have as great a range of possible actions as I do, but you will certainly be able to filter messages into a separate mailbox.

As you can see, my belief is that once you start using mail filters you'll never look back. But if you don't want to do that, a dedicated address just for the list also works very well.

Yours, David
