It sounds to me like the 3rd/4th slider Paul. Common failure, replaced with a new design that has rounded and reinforced surface at the inside edge of the slider so it's not so prone to crack/break.

For shops in your area go to www.roadhaus.com and click on repair shops and use the search features there to look for recommended/not recommended shops.
