I stick the wheel on so it's center opening is on the hub, then rotate it and the hub until a wheel hole lines up with a hub hole on the right side. (I'm right handed.) Then I just hold wheel with one hand, you don't have to hold it up, the hub is carrying the weight. Once you get that one bolt in, rotate wheel so that hole is at the top. Then all the other holes are pretty much lined up. It's pretty easy.
