There's a thread here:

Indeed; lots of money.

It looks very cool, but for what is likely less money, I'd do a TDI.

If I'm not misunderstanding, it's $6970 just for a Boxeer that fits under lid (and I assume) has same or similar ground clearance to a stock 2WD Vanagon. Though somewhat apples to oranges, doing something similar in a TDI would be less.

DV swap kit: $1000 (or less) + around $2700 (IIRC) for a lower mileage 1.9 TDI. And with that, you get engine carriers, clutch housing/flywheel, mounts, mount arms.

I don't see Boxeer engine carriers, mounts, etc. listed. Not sure if the Boxeer comes with a turbo or you buy that separately.

I think the R&D the Suby community has done (clutch housing, re-gearing and fabricating to adapt the Suby 5 spd. transmission, etc. check out this thread: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/forum/viewtopic.php?t=407222&highlight=boxeer ) to make the Subaru swaps better are great, but as others have pointed out many times, I'd suggest one weigh out the fuel savings of this diesel against a gas engine, first.
