Been there and done that. Check to see if heated air is leaking through the
ducts into the passenger compartment. That will cause water pouring from
the rear. I discovered the symptom on a 1400 mile trip. Halfway through it,
I pulled the heater cover, bought some file cards and duct tape at a
drugstore, and taped the cards over the heater outlets that point straight
down under the dash. That got us home until I could pull the heater valve
and replace it, and replace the foam seals in the heater as well.
