Ha!

Well - I stared at my Vanagon a bit while it was up on jack stands with the rear DS wheel torn apart. While I was starring I was contemplating the joys of this wonderful vehicle:

1. Why does every bolt have to be rusted and impossible to remove? (even the newer ones) 2. Is the stub axle supposed to have a slight recess to the "smooth" section where it runs through the bearing housing (make note to take a pic and send it to the list - yes I haven't done that yet) 3. Why did that brake line have to break when I was losening it from the wheel cylinder? 4. Why do I think I can fix everything on this bus? I usually succeed but boy it sure takes me a long time. 5. How can I fit a new daily driver into my budget and keep Gertie (the vanagon) just for fun? - I'm hungry....

Anyway - I think you all get the point :) What have I done for her - well she is resting int he garage with her "foot" up. So I guess there's that :)

Oh and I bought a sweet pair of those window wind deflector things from Frank Condelli while we were at Buses of the Corn a while back. Those things are great! They really do reduce the wind noise and I don't get blasted int he side of the head by wind any more. Thanks Frank!

Contrary to the tone of this message - I love my Vanagon!
