Alrighty, thank you. I'll up mine to 45/50 and see how a passing semi affects my "sail".

My Westy is generally not "loaded" ('84), and I have new Bilsteins, original springs and only new front stabilizer bushings (springs (front and back) and rest of the front suspension to be done during this upcoming "salt season" (northern Illinois)).

When we do load the Westy, she's not overly heavy, no roof rack or trailer; just general camping/clothes stuff for a long weekend.

Not to digress into a tire debate, but thesamba discussion, "14" Tire Options", in the Vanagon FAQ section, makes me want to wear down these Hankooks soon so I can order up some BFG's 195/75/14's.

I'm running 45/50. My brother in law works for Discount, and suggested 40/45. Tried that, but preferred the higher settings.

BTW, I installed GoWesty springs and Koni shocks, along with urethane bushings. Spending close to two grand on the suspension may have added tomy satisfaction with the tires!
