1990 Carat 2.1....After we logged our first road trip, a short 600 miles in "Rosie", in which she ran great she has been acting up lately and it is so random i need help to figure it out. About a week after we got home form our road trip we finished off some body work and put a fresh coat of paint her and soon after that she starting acting up. The only thing i did when painting is take the light outs did nothing to the interior or motor area. When i first started her after the paint job it sounded like she was running on 2 or 3 clyinders. I looked and made sure all the plug wires where attached and started her back up. She ran rough for a few more minutes and then smoothed right out. I thought that was weird but didn't really give it nother thought. Well, last week i get a call from the wife that "Rosie" was running rough and when she put it in reverse it died on the the spot. She was able to get it started and parked it till i got home. Well, it did the same thing to me but it took forever to start. It would just crank and crank. I finally got it around to my shop and starting giving it the once over I check TPS, pulled the plugs and wires. Didn't see anything that looked wrong. After i put the plugs and wire back together it has been running fine!! WTH... Gremlins? I just don't want this to happen aon a raod trip and thankfully it didn't happen on ours.
