In the case of my Vanagon, I do the bigger on the rear so as to Lower the RevsPerMinute & RevsPerMile of the Engine&DriveTrain

& the smaller on the front to keep the Speedo&Odo readings accurate ~ I also just like the look of it & can't help but feel that it may be just

a little bit of help aerodynamically ~ but that is probably WishfullSpeculation. On my PTCruiser ~ I like the look. On my DodgeDakota it's both

the look & aerodynamics things again. On my Wifes 2WD EscapeHybrid I run the same tires on all 4 and when the DriveTire wears down I buy

2 new tires, put them on the rear & move the old rears to the front so that they will be the next to replaced.
