for my own edification, checked the distance from Barstow to Bakersfield. Bizarre result from AAA online. The program would not accept Barstow, California as either a point of origin, or a destination, but suggested that I might want to use either "Fresno (Barstow)" or "San Bernardino (Barstow)" instead. Really strange. Has anyone else experienced a similar odd result for a well defined location like this using AAA?

But, my road atlas yields a distance of about 130 miles between the two cities. mcneely
