I have replaced all four of mine with stainless-wrapped flex hoses. do not remember the brand or if they are DOT approved. They made a noticable difference in my opinion, making the brakes a little more "direct" if that is the right word for it. Maybe faster reaction, and when the pedal hits pressure it doesn't "give" any, leading me to belive the wrap is doing its job in holding the flex hose from expanding.
