not to mention inline VW-Audi five cylinder engines, gas and diesel and TD. or Nissan V-6 engines .. there's a slew of engines that have been fitted to vanagons . I have yet to find 'the, THE' one ... Each has advantages and less advantages features.

I just advise people to decide gas or diesel first.. then go over the choices, drive a few if at all possible.Talk to owners of conversions ..and so on.

Haven't found the 'totally perfect' one yet. Just numerous pretty good choices.
