I doubt it will do anything useful. You might get a brief "pffft" until
the pressures equalize. Without a pump, you're not going to get much
liquid propane into the van's tank in a reasonable time. You'd need to
keep the source tank warm and the van's tank cool, to get it to transfer
at all. You also have to invert the source tank, so liquid comes through
the valve, not gas

If you have the older style fill valve (with the separate spit valve),
it might be easier, since opening the spit valve reduces the pressure,
and would allow more flow, but I suspect you'd end up wasting a lot of
propane.
