Some Vanagons have a fluid sensor built into the cap, which connects to the Brake Warning Light to indicate low fluid. But the installation of this cap is inconsistent as most Vanagons I've encountered have just the standard cap (trivia: standard cap is also used on 3/55-67 Buses, all 914s, lotsa early watercooled inline 4 models, etc.). Both my Vanagons and 914 just have the standard cap, no warning harness to be found. Just find a standard cap (211611351B, 191611349A or Porsche 477611361) and install it. You can bet the Porsche numbered cap is probably offered at a "Porsche" price, even though it's the same thing.
