Subject: What dumb thing do you repeatedly do with your Vanagon?

Confession time folks!

About 1/2 the time I drive off with the rear hatch part-way open. It won't fit in the garage, so I park it next to the house which is sometimes in full sun. So I use the rear hatch opener, the turnbuckle self assembled kind, to try and keep the interior cooler. But then I get in the Van, drive off, and then a block later ... hmmmm..... engine sounds noisy and it sure is smelly today..... and I have to stop and remove that prop-open latch thingy. I am not sure what I can do try and remember to remove it before I leave home. (Many years ago with our old Vanagon my wife drove into the garage with the rear hatch all the way open which bent the wiper and added some "character" to the metal).

I have lots of other dumb things I repeatedly do with the Vanagon, but will leave room for others!

Roland
