That's not dumb. It simply shows how smart you were (c'mon, Greg, it's a lot of extra work to take the key out of that cap and put it back in, unless your cap is completely different from the three I've had experience with). ;-) Which is why I went to a lot of effort to get a locking cap for my present beast which didn't have one. On the pump it sits. Even I'm not unconscious enough to drive off with the cap hanging from my keychain.
