Human nature, as JIm says. Everybody says their conversion is the BEST one, because they chose it and it makes them feel good to think they got the best. (except for the TIICO guys)

A am sure the inline conversion in my van is about the best I could do, given the money spent...I don't think I have ever read about a less expensive workable way to move a Vanagon...But then, I am biased because it is what I did choose to spend my money on... If I had unlimited funds, I would have a Porsche 997 sequential shift all wheel driveline in my van, but I guess my 93 Jetta 5sp will do me, given my station in life.
