Ok the final installment of the A/C saga. After changing the hoses, drier,
and expansion valve the A/C did blow kind of cool. It has pressures on the
"higher" side so Im guessing that to get it back to full on cold I will
have to change out the compressor. Considering that I flushed the entire
system and had more than sufficient air flow through the system,
eliminating the possibility of blockage/restriction, I am left with only
the compressor. Fortunately its cooling off temp wise here so maybe I can
just stall it until spring. Well thats it. I never found one specific  "wow
that fixed it" item. just an original system from 1987 that decided it was
time to replace the major working components
