You're welcome, but you're looking at the connector in your van?

A quick look at my various decrepit clusters, I see copper traces where
each pin would connect.

Just because your model year Vanagon has a 14 pin connector missing 4 and
12 doesn't mean the cluster you're curious about doesn't use these wires.

If that makes sense.
