Second that on the Meyle blowers - the one I put in Millie's van was very noisy on first and second speed. She didn't care but it would have driven me nuts.

The "drill a hole in the front of the van" lube trick is a band-aid, lets you get some oil to the rear bearing which is the one that's more liable to get sticky; but it's only a band-aid. To properly recondition a blower you have to take it apart and take the blower wheel off -- see my post that I referred to above.
