Continuous new cable, bypassing the O2 sensor counter and no kinks (Bus Depot). It's noisy at low speeds, I think the magnetic wheel is rubbing on the needle's disk, probably some of that eastern Oregon grit in there. Sometimes it slowly swings from 55 to 85 at highway speeds. Another thing to add to my "to find" list. Stuart David wrote: All three of my speedos have oscillated at ?25-40? speeds. Lubing the cable hasn't seemed to help; I suspect the cable has a set. It's not the speedometer's fault, if it gets a smooth input it will deliver a smooth output. That right-angle bend in the cable to get to the front wheel is the culprit, I reckon. >Simplified, that's 804 x 1. Idiots. I think it's a fascinating glimpse into how someone's mind worked. Yrs, d |
