1987 Wolfsburg with overhead a/c duct. Was driving along when the front and middle sections fell off the ceiling. I had heard a couple of strange noises before it happened and should have investigated as I might have been able to save it. Looks like the edge of one section has shattered as lots of small black plastic pieces on the floor. How can I fix this? I live in Arizona and really need my a/c and it was working pretty well. All I see on the ceiling is one small metal bracket. I cannot believe this was all that was holding these heavy ducts up there. Is there any way to rig up a more lightweight duct? I also have the wire that runs through the duct hanging down from the ceiling. This van is my primary transportation. I believe there was a recall on the a./c ducts and I thought it had been performed on my van. Anyone got some spare ducts, these are gray. -David (1987 Wolfsburg) |
